Small Victories

Today was the first day since I began my new job in the city that I was able to walk alllll the way to my office (3 blocks and 2 ½ avenues) WITHOUT HAVING TO PUT MY HAIR UP. Why is this so monumental you may ask? Well as most of my friends know, I unfortunately tend to sweat like a whore in church. Sorry for the profanity but it’s the best visual I can give. The minute I hit any sort of heat… and for me heat is anything above 75 degrees the sweats begin. Add any sort of additional physical activity and I am el screwed. So today, I made it my goal to make it all the way to my office without having to stop to put my hair into a quick and bumpy pony tail in order to finish my voyage. I think have the residual drop in temperature from the rain and a brisk breeze are to thank for my accomplishment this morning, but I’ll take it!

Now, I did need to turn my desk fan on the moment I got to my desk…but I still made it! Fall, PLEASE hurry up! I’d like my co-workers to see that I really do put time into my hair in the morning!
