Guess whose 1!!

Today I am making the 4 + hour drive back down to Northern Virginia to celebrate my favorite One year old!

My best friend Heather had a beautiful baby girl, Grace Evelyn, on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. She and her husband moved to Louisiana right after she got married (like literally the next day) where her husband is stationed with the Army. From there they started a brand new life including a dog, a new baby and eventually another dog (I think she regrets the latter decision!). Although she is far away, she always does her best to make it back up to NOVA to celebrate all her families’ milestones, including Graces first birthday. To make it even easier she has a fabulous blog (and she is the reason I have mine!) where she constantly keeps us updated on what’s going on in their lives.

Needless to say I am a very proud Aunt Samma, and love watching this little girl grow up. I literally show anyone who will look her picture and she has been the background of my phone and computer since the day she was born! Unfortunately now that I no longer live in Virginia, I’ve sadly missed her quick visits but do everything in my power to make it down for the big deals. I am very much looking forward to her moving up to Georgia in December and making a visit down to her much more doable!

Not only will I be celebrating Grace, but I'm looking forward to spending the weekend at one of my best friend, Becca's house, seeing some friends I haven’t seen in over a year, and stopping in Maryland to see my cousin and his fiancé on the way back! Thank god next weekend is Columbus Day and I have 3 days off because I have a feeling I’m going to be exhausted after this really quick 2 day trip.

P.S. – LET’S GO YANKEES!!!!! Today kicks off our Postseason quest for World Series title #28! I will be listening  to the game on the radio on my ride down!
